Accountable by design
How the Foundation is structured, regulated and kept true to its community purpose.
The asset lock, in plain terms
CliniLink Foundations CIC is a community interest company limited by guarantee. There are no shareholders and no dividends — the structure most trusted by grant funders, NHS partners and research sponsors.
A statutory asset lock means income and assets can only ever be applied to our community purpose. Surpluses are reinvested into education, patient materials and research; in the event of winding up, residual assets transfer to NHS Charities Together.
- Statutory asset lock — profits and assets are permanently dedicated to community benefit
- Limited by guarantee — no shareholders, no private dividend
- Independent content — no funder or sponsor has any input into educational content, patient selection or clinical decisions
- Published register of all sponsorships, grants and funding sources in our annual community interest report
A simple, accountable route from funder to frontline
Grants, research funding and commercial education contracts come into the Foundation as a single accountable pot. Delivery is through suitably qualified partners — which may include CliniLink Ltd — always engaged on arm’s-length, fair market value terms with full disclosure of any related-party interests, and always under our own clinical governance.
